DIYing our invitations, Part 2: Assembling, Stamping, Stuffing, Sealing

Here is the last bit of preparation before we sent our invitations off for their journey through US postal service. For our 5.5"x8.5" invitations, we ordered these awesome 6"x9" craft paper envelopes with neat little string ties for 40 cents each.
For the reply cards, I ordered a combination of smaller "apricot" and "grenadine" envelopes for 20 cents each.
I also ordered a self-address stamp, which cost about $45 but was awesome in saving us from writing our address 200 times on the inner and outer envelopes.
Once everything was stamped and dry, I assembled all the pieces together while Eli addressed envelopes (this was his responsibility because of his exceptionally lovely handwriting).
Then it was off to the post office to get a million stamps, which turned out to be the biggest invitation related expense at $60. I liked that these ones were colorful and folky.
So there you have it, our homemade invites for about 2 bucks each including postage.
Here they are all stamped and sealed and ready to travel!
