staying in

i am home sick and need a project. so begins a glorious crafting adventure (!).
also, goodbye hannukah, you are always lovely to have around.
sickly update: ok. crafting adventures were a bit ambitious considering i can barely get out of bed. back to laying down...

no need for bookshelves

 have you ever seen a house with so many built-ins?

person = tea bag?

it might be because i have sick-brain, but i could absolutely not decipher this graphic when making my tea this morning.

seneca's party

gina and i went to angela's daughter's first birthday party this weekend. we were forbidden from bringing gifts (sad!! we wanted to buy adorable baby things), so we made her this awesome card instead.
at the party everyone helped trim the tree and seneca had her first cupcake.

and a good time was had by all.

i know i am terribly predictable, but i just love this ceiling lamp. it reminds me of the eva hesse sculpture titled not yet...

little fox

eli has been seeing a little fox in the front yard. foxes are sort of a thing for us, so the sightings have been nerdily exciting.

back to reality

i'm back from thanksgiving in florida. it's 22 degrees here, and there are certainly no mangrove forests or great white egrets here, but it's nice to be back in my own bed.

simply cute
