i was so impressed with this kitchen "renovation" i saw on apartment therapy. they managed to totally change the kitchen without replacing the existing cabinets - rather, they primed and painted them a clean crisp white. the only new element was the counter top, the rest is just paint and elbow grease.

what a big difference! i love the look of the kitchen, and it's nice to know you can do it without tearing everything out and starting all over!
