puppets in the park

yesterday i took a long walk in the morning and then saw this adorable puppet-show-play (based on this short story by oscar wilde) in the park. there were tons of little kids and babies (accompanied by their parents, of course) and everyone was having a grand ol' time.

the puppets themselves were gorgeous and the show was impressively produced by just two people - one storyteller/guitarist/vocalist and one puppeteer. i kept thinking how much fun it would be to make puppets like those, and is there a job doing that? because i want it.

Puppets like these are so impressive...I so would've liked to see the show!

that's so cool! Last summer I went to a "toy theatre" festival in Brooklyn, and there were so many great puppets and miniature sets. It was like entering another world.
