it's an alien, it's a cartoon, it's... a pygmy jeroba

so here is something random. it looks like a fuzzy pretend pixar alien or something, but this little fluffinstuff is a pygmy jeroba. i love the internet.
with a little googling i learned that they are native to deserts in northern africa and asia. they hop around using only their hind legs, kind of like kangaroos, and build burrows in the ground to hide from predators, avoid the desert heat, and create nesting and storage chambers.
what other hilarious animals do i not know about? i'm serious. if you know of some secret amazing creatures, please do share the joy...

Why is it in that room and not in its natural habitat? When are we going to realise that we have to meet nature on her terms and not our own?
This poor creature looks petrified, especially when it gets poked by that piece of plastic.
